Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB)

The Colorado legislature created the CWCB within the Department of Natural Resources in 1937. The board is compromised of 10 voting members appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Senate and 5 non-voting members. The CWCB's mission is to "conserve, develop, protect, and manage Colorado's water for present and future generations.
