Soil Moisture

Soil moisture is the measure of water content in the ground that has direct bearing on the soil’s ability to sustain plant and animal life as well as how much precipitation the soil will absorb during the next precipitation event. Soil moisture is measured in the upper layers of soil where evaporation and plant transpiration of available moisture occurs.
