Wetland

Wetlands are unique and sensitive areas that are either flooded or saturated with water for all or parts of the year and which support vegetation and animals that are adapted to living in these wet conditions. Wetlands include areas such as bogs, marshes, swamps and similar environments. Wetlands are often transitional zones between aquatic and terrestrial areas, encompassing characteristics of both.
